The project explores the boundary condition between Nanpu Bridge and Yangtze River in Shanghai, China.
Based on several investigations it has been realized that after completion of the bridge and the interchange the whole land ration has gentrified from slum territory to a massive economic hub. Specifically physical condition of the main bridge’s column led to an extension of riverbank and created a platform for piers and ships. There is also some cultural and tradition activities and building center grown within this context.
The composition-drawing project will demonstrate a potential development of 3C (Culture, Communication, Commerce) within a specific BIOM condition where datum of a bridge column becomes as an interface for development of these relationships.
Intersect of a bridge; land and water will be a central core of a city where the urban infrastructure potentially could grow from it. A city with hundred of hundred of cores. Such system can be applied mostly on an unstable geological landform system where a boundary between land and water are in the critical condition.
The distributions of such are based on latitude, humidity and elevation in which grow and cybernetic feature of new Tabula Rasa is heavily depended on these. Also the form of the project driven by matter of these urban devices that transforms the infrastructure to a metabolic grows system.
